This premium package includes a broad selection of fully retouched and naturally retouched images, ideal for a comprehensive content update and the ultimate shoot experience.

  • Once your booking request is approved, Joey will follow-up via email with a request for the non-refundable $250 deposit and a shoot agreement which will require your review and signature. Once completed, you'll receive a detailed call sheet for the shoot.

Joey's test shoots are only available on weekdays and the call time is 4-6 hours before sunset. On the day of the shoot, you will meet at Joey’s studio in Fort Lauderdale for hair/makeup (if included), wardrobe selection, and a brief shoot orientation before driving with Joey to shoot at a nearby private beach location. You may bring a friend or chaperone to the studio to accompany you during hair, makeup, wardrobe fitting, and orientation, but guests are not permitted on set during the actual shoot unless you request and receive prior permission from Joey. Models under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Upon arrival at the shoot, all models must sign a standard model release.

The RAW photos (approximately 150+) will be shared within 5 business days after the shoot for your review and final photo selection via an online proofing gallery. The watermarked RAW photo proofs may not be downloaded, shared, or published online. You may, however, purchase the unwatermarked RAW photos for an additional fee of $25 each or $500 for all of the photos. This is a good option for models who sell images on subscription-based platforms. You will have one year to access your proofs and make any additional image purchases.

Within 15 business days after you’ve submitted your final selections, a link to your retouched photos will be sent via email. Additional retouched photos may be purchased for $50 each. The final retouched photos will be shared with all contributing parties of the shoot including, but not limited to, the photographer, hair/makeup artist, and swimwear brands for portfolio and social media usage. If you want to retain complete control over who may or may not publish the final retouched photos, you can pay an extra $500 for exclusive image rights. In other words, you alone will receive them and possess the authority to distribute or publish them. This option is typically selected by celebrities using the images for publication or models who sell exclusive content.

Retouching includes global exposure adjustment, color correction, blemish removal, skin tone correction, detail sharpening, stray hair removal from the face, and small background spot removal. Natural retouching includes global exposure adjustment, color correction, and blemish removal. Nonstandard retouching requests such as head swaps, body reshaping, eye-opening, tattoo removal, extending the background, background object removal, and spot coloring are not included and will incur additional fees at a rate of $75/hour.

The rates listed above are subject to change over time and do not include travel expenses for shoots outside of South Florida. All deposits are non-refundable and the remaining balance must be paid upon arrival to the shoot.

  • 1. Do I have to be a professional model to book a shoot?

The Signature Swim Shoots do not require you to be a professional model. However, the Swim Portfolio Update package is only available for agency-signed models or returning clients.

    2. What should I do to prepare for the shoot?

Please arrive with a clean face, no makeup, natural-colored nails, and clean, dry hair without any product. A good tan is recommended, and if you’re getting a spray tan, it should be done at least one day before the shoot.

    3. What should I wear to the shoot?

Wear sandals, gym shorts, and a t-shirt (or coverup) for easy wardrobe changes. This will help you switch outfits quickly and comfortably during the shoot.

    4. What should I bring to the shoot?

Although swimwear will be provided, you’re encouraged to bring any nice swimwear you own. Also, bring snacks and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

    5. Where will we be shooting?

You'll initially meet at Joey studio in downtown Fort Lauderdale for hair, makeup, and wardrobe. You'll then ride with Joey to a beautiful private beach location in Fort Lauderdale for the actual shoot.

    6. Can I bring a friend or chaperone to the shoot?

Yes, you can bring a friend or chaperone to the studio for hair, makeup, wardrobe fitting, and orientation. However, they will not be permitted on set during the actual shoot unless prior permission is granted.

    7. Do I get to choose my hair & makeup artist?

Joey works with a select group of experienced and talented hair and makeup artists who are trusted to deliver outstanding results. While the artist will ultimately be chosen based on availability, rest assured that you’ll be in the hands of one of Joey’s top professionals who understands the creative vision and style required for your shoot.

    8. Can I provide my own hair & makeup?

While you have the option to do your own hair and makeup, it is highly recommended that you allow Joey to provide these services to ensure consistent image results. If you choose to opt out of the included hair and makeup, the package cost will only be reduced by $100.

    9. What happens if I’m late to my hair and makeup appointment?

It’s important to arrive on time for your scheduled hair and makeup appointment. Arriving late may reduce your overall shoot time, so please plan accordingly.

    10. What happens if it rains?

We recommend checking the Fort Lauderdale Beach forecast before selecting your shoot date. If you’re traveling, try to schedule the shoot early in your trip in case rescheduling is needed due to weather. If you’re local with a flexible schedule, we can monitor the forecast and decide whether to reschedule closer to the date. For those with tight schedules, Joey will add extra time to cushion for potential rain delays. December through March are the best months for ideal weather. A little rain is normal, and shoots are timed to allow for brief delays.

    11. What is included in the photo session?

Each package includes a specific duration of shooting time, wardrobe changes, access to name-brand swimwear, and an online proof gallery for selecting your final images. Hair and makeup services are included in the Signature Test Shoot and Signature Test Shoot Plus packages.

    12. How will my hair & makeup be styled for the shoot?

Your hair and makeup will be natural and understated. Makeup should highlight your features subtly, with a light foundation and minimal eye makeup. Hair should have relaxed, beachy waves (when possible) with a natural, flexible look. Specific instructions will be provided to the hair and makeup artist.

    13. How long after the shoot will I receive my photos?

Watermarked RAW photos will be shared within 5 business days for your review. Once you’ve made your selections, retouched photos will be delivered via email within 15 business days.

    14. What is the difference between retouched and natural retouched photos?

Retouched photos undergo comprehensive editing, including global exposure and color correction, blemish removal, and more detailed adjustments. Natural retouched photos receive a lighter touch, focusing on maintaining a natural look with basic color corrections and blemish removal.

    15. Can I purchase the RAW photos?

Yes, you can purchase unwatermarked RAW photos for an additional fee of $500. This option is ideal for models who sell images on subscription-based platforms.

    16. What if I need additional retouched photos beyond what is included in my package?

Additional retouched photos can be purchased at a rate of $50 each.

    17. What happens if I don’t select my final images within the given time frame?

If you do not submit your selections within 15 business days after receiving the proofs, Joey will make the selections and proceed with retouching.

    18. Can I request special retouching or image manipulation?

Nonstandard retouching requests, such as head swaps, body reshaping, or extensive background work, are not included in the standard package and will incur additional fees at a rate of $75/hour.

    19. How long will I be able to access my photo proofs?

You will have access to your photo proofs for up to one year. During this time, you can request additional retouched images, purchase RAW photos ($25 each), or the entire collection of images ($500). After the year is up, the gallery will be removed, but you can request to have it restored online for a $50 fee.

    20. How does the image usage and rights work?

The final retouched photos may be shared with contributing parties (swimwear brands & makeup artists) for portfolio and social media use. If you wish to retain exclusive control over the photos, an additional fee of $500 will apply to secure exclusive image rights. This option suits models who plan to sell the images exclusively on their subscription platforms.

    21. What's the next step after I submit my booking request?

Joey will follow-up via email with a request for the non-refundable $250 deposit and a shoot agreement which will require your review and signature. Once completed, you'll receive a detailed call sheet for the shoot.

    22. Are there any age restrictions for models?

Models under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

    23. How are payments handled?

A signed estimate and $250 deposit are due upon booking, with the remaining balance due upon arrival at the shoot (Cash, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp).

    24. Can I cancel or reschedule my shoot?

You can cancel or reschedule your shoot, but please note that the deposit will not be refunded if the shoot is canceled within 72 hours of the scheduled shoot date. If you need to reschedule, it’s best to do so as early as possible.
